Pizza sauce recipe
Makes: 10+ medium pizzas
Start to table: 15 minutes
Ingredients
1 x 700ml (24 oz) jar of strained tomatoes
2-3 garlic cloves
6 large basil leaves
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Method
Roughly chop the garlic cloves.
Fry in a pan on low heat for 1 minute.
Add the strained tomatoes.
Bash and bruise the basil leaves then add to the tomato sauce.
Add a large pinch of salt and pepper.
Heat through for 5 minutes.
Pour through a course sieve into a bowl and allow to cool before spooning onto pizza crusts.
